| Sake Tasting and Sake Rice
Collaboration
May 27, 2010
Working Horse Farm and Winery is excited to announce
a new collaboration with BC Artisan SakeMaker Masa Shiroki of
Osake. Working
Horse Organic Farm as part of its on-going vision in
pioneering new opportunities and helping to grow the diversity
in the agriculture, food and wine industries in BC are
experimenting with growing organic Japanese rice for Masa
Shiroki's Sake production.
The rice grown on the farm is focusing on developing new
sustainable local Sake rice growing techniques under Masa's
guidance. As part of this collaboration, Masa will
be doing a comparative fun and informative Sake trade tasting
at the farm on June 7 from 2 to 3:30 pm. The Sakes will
be paired with local charcuterie and cheeses. The event
is free to the trade and media - $25 for anyone who wishes to
attend who is not in the trade or media. We request that
anyone interested in reserving a space and purchasing a
ticket call the farm or email : sara@WorkingHorseWinery.com.
Space is limited.

| Working Horse Farm shows "Fresh", the
Movie
March 3, 2010
We at Working Horse Winery, Vineyard Inn and Organic Farm
are proud to present two showings of the movie "Fresh". It's
an inspirational celebration of real food, farming and
community, and rouses us to empower ourselves against the
dehumanizing forces of industrial food production. We thought
this movie was so great we purchased the rights to show
screenings of it - a first in the Interior of BC.
Two private screening opportunities to see the movie "Fresh": March 19th and 20th at the farm.
Limited to 20 per screening $20 per person gets the movie,
organic popcorn, wine, beer, food and a post movie discussion
and reception... 6:30PM-9PM or, whenever everyone gets tired.
Please RSVP - sara@WorkingHorseWinery.com
The Friday (19th) screening is filling up quickly, but
still lots of room on the Saturday.

| WHW Feature Article in the Georgia
Straight
November 12, 2009
Wine write Jurgen Gothe bowls us over with a wonderful
full-page article about Working Horse Winery and Farm, and the
creatures who make it run. He titles it "Tilman Hainle does wine his way at
Working Horse Winery"
Some quotes: "Working Horse Winery isn't merely a name;
it's a concept, a vision. It is quite likely the greenest
winery anywhere." Or, "Tilman Ice Riesling 2006
[...] is a measuring stick, ranking as some of the
finest icewine in the world." Well, the superlatives are
simultaneously flattering and humbling, and you should really
read the whole article. Includes wine reviews. A couple of
tiny corrections: The horses in the glamour shot are actually
Jackie and Star, a team of Percherons owned by our friend John
Watters (our introduction to working with drafts), and the
return credit for our bottles is $5 for the table wine, and
$10 for the dessert wines (with box).

| Working Horse Winery named one of five "Wineries
to Watch" in B.C.
November 7, 2008
The November / December 2008 edition of Northwest Palate
Magazine named Working Horse Winery one of five "Wineries to
Watch" in BC. "Winemaking veteran Tilman Hainle and his
partner Sara Norman are developing Working Horse Winery and
Vineyards at the site where Hainle and his father made B.C.'s
first icewine. The first teeny-tiny production of icewine is a
blockbuster, with more to come." |
